About us

Aranea Solutions, Inc (pronounced air-ah-knee-ah) was founded in the fall of 2002 as a web solutions company (the Latin root of the word Aranea refers to a spider's web). We are a woman-owned, woman-controlled small business. Through a process of high-caliber employee selection and retention, and a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, we have grown into a company with over one hundred employees with excellent potential.

The majority of Aranea's current activities are focused on moving technical and platform data through the battle space. The following paragraphs will provide a brief overview of some of the highlights.

Consolidated Aviation Portal and Storage (CAPS) is an Army Aviation effort that provides an N-tiered architecture and internet technologies to move aggregated technical data into the hands of the warfighter. Aranea plays a critical role in the development, deployment, and maintenance of the web-based application suite that supports this activity.

Joint Technical Data Integration (JTDI) is a joint program, similiar to CAPS, where Aranea plays a critical role in the development and deployment of the web-based application suite, deployed servers, and hand-held devices.

Electronic Maintenance Support System (EMSS) is another effort that is similar in its design to JTDI. However, it is specifically tailored for delivery and receipt of technical and CBM data from the Marine Corps suite of assault vehicles, such as the LAV and AAV. Within this effort, Aranea performs systems design and integration efforts for fielded servers as well as site survey and fielding support for the associated hand-held devices. Ancillary to the EMSS effort, Aranea has a local, light-manufacturing facility where it receives disparate system components, integrates the components into a production-ready system, and delivers to the customer, in compliance with ISO9000 requirements.

High Resolution Tele-maintenance Toolkit (HRTT) is an Aranea effort that is providing systems design and integration of high-resolution video data exchange in support of the Marine Corps Expeditionary Air Field. The tight integration of COTS/GOTS tools provides the ability to view live battle space imagery from both inside and outside theater.

Aranea was commissioned to produce a Data Transport Evaluation (EETF) study of the tools and/or optimization methods of technical and CBM data delivery within the battle space. This study is on-going, and is evidence of yet another aspect of data-delivery in which Aranea is involved.

In summary, Aranea is young, but proven, agile, and responsive. We possess extensive experience in data-delivery, systems integration, maintenance, and fielding, and support all services within the DoD.

We look forward to hearing from you.
